Math Club will meet on November 4, 2009 at 7:30 PM on the third floor of Saint Mary's Hall.
This week's problem:
In the Cartesian plane consider the set of point A = {(i,j) : 0 <= i, j <= 40,
i and j integers}. How many squares can be formed so that all corners of all squares belong to A, with sides parallel to the x and y axes?
We will also discuss general strategies to use in solving problems.
