Advanced Placement

AP credit is awarded for specific mathematics and science courses and may satisfy all or part of the general education requirement. Therefore, pprospective students are encouraged to qualify for advanced placement by taking the Advanced Placement Examination. Thus, scoring details are as follows:

Students who have not received credit or advanced placement by means of these examinations, but believe their preparation in high school is substantially equivalent to MATH-035/036, may petition the Department Chair for advanced placement. In such cases, the Department will administer an examination to determine if such placement is warranted. This examination will take place during the registration period at the beginning of the fall term.

Further information may be obtained through the department or the Georgetown College, Office of the Dean.
