Georgetown University’s Department of Mathematics & Statistics promotes research in pure mathematics, applied mathematics, and statistics. Our faculty prides itself on its innovative instruction and curriculum, resulting in a close working relationship between students and faculty.

We offer two undergraduate majors, a Bachelor of Arts (AB) and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mathematics. Additionally, we offer minors in both Mathematics and Statistics. We do accept appropriate Advanced Placement credit.

For those who are interested, we have an active Math Club and a colloquium series.

For students who are having difficulty with their lower level mathematics courses, we offer free tutoring, 6:00-9:00 PM, Sunday through Thursday, at our Math Assistance Center (MAC).
